Aslam o Alikum Wa Rahmatullahe Wa Barakatuhu.
Thank you for visiting Parenting Uncomplicated by Iram Bint Safia. I am a passionate soul, with multiple interests. A Muslim American, with Pakistani roots, living on the east coast. Married and with the help of my wonderful supportive husband, raising our homeschooled children.
Over the past 15 + years of my married life, I have strived to manage my relationships and responsibilities according to my faith-based convictions. I have learned about life through trial and error and every day I strive to be a better person. Positive parenting doesn't always come naturally, easily, or confidently. And that's ok because the secret about parenting is that everyone is learning on the go. It is a life long learning process. My success won't be measured by the number of degrees and certificates, but by the kind of human beings, my husband and I have raised.
We are a team, my family and I. We have our good days and bad ones, like any other family. We recognize our blessings and try to lead a life filled with gratitude.
And that's the secret ingredient to my parenting technique. A lot of gratitude with a lot of conversations with God.
I work passionately creating educational awareness, whether it is about Islam, hijab, women's rights, racial injustice, homeschooling, social reform, speaking out for the oppressed, to build bridges with our interfaith community, anything and everything that affects our lives or will have a long-lasting impact on our families and our societies.
My motto is Service. Service for life, towards God, family, and community.
Through this blog, I hope to reach out to you, bring a positive impact in your life, and spread awareness and education about various everyday life challenges.
Prayers for your good health, positivity, and life long practical and simple learning.
